* | This driver has been shown to function properly when used with average computer systems having specifications that conform to the above guidelines. You should be aware, however, that there are numerous other variables that can affect performance, including differences in hardware design, system configuration, and overall combination of software applications that are used. Therefore, the actual system requirements could be different than the above. |
- On some computers, the driver does not load correctly if the EXR is already connected when Windows is started up. As a result, it will not be possible to use the EXR via USB. If this occurs, wait until after Windows has started to turn on the power of the EXR (or to connect it).
- If the EXR was connected when its power was already turned on, it may stop operating correctly when it enters standby or hibernate mode. If this occurs, after resuming, you should exit all applications that use the EXR, and then turn the power of the EXR off and on again.
- If the USB cable is disconnected and reconnected while the EXR is in use, or if the power of the EXR is turned off, then on again, it may stop operating correctly. If this occurs, after resuming, you should exit all applications that use the EXR, and turn the power of the EXR off, then on again.
- If your PC was experiencing a heavy processing load, such as when accessing a CD-ROM Drive or network while the EXR was being used, the EXR may no longer operate correctly. If this occurs, stop the playback or recording, then try starting playback or recording over again. If you are still unable to play back or record, quit all programs that are using the EXR, then turn the EXR off and then on again.
- Start Windows with all USB cables disconnected.
(except the keyboard and mouse)
- Exit all applications before performing the installation.
- Double-click Setupinf.exe.
- The "SetupInf" dialog box will appear, and the display will indicate "Ready to install the driver."
* | If a message recommends that you restart the operating system, restart as directed, and then proceed to the next step. |
* | If the display indicates "The driver is already installed. ---", you can use a USB cable to connect the EXR and your computer, and use it. |
* | If another message is displayed, follow the instructions given by that message. |
- Use a USB cable to connect the EXR and your computer, and then turn the POWER switch of the EXR to the "ON" position.

- Click [OK] in the "SetupInf" dialog box.
* | If a message recommends that you restart the operating system, restart as directed, and then proceed to the next step. |

* | If after connecting the EXR you are unable to use it, a problem may have occurred. Refer to "Troubleshooting." |
